Grow your own Tobacco – Easy
Tobacco grows very well indoors and in a hydro system. Advanced Garden has been growing the same tobacco plant for over two years now, taking clones is easy and they always start in about 2 weeks or less.
We harvest the leaves and dry and cure them being carefull not to let them mold.
The Tobacco is in our Ebb & Flow table and although we keep the PPM low most of the time it seems to be able to take quite a strong solution.
A few times the pump was not working and the Tabacco had wilted but it allways bounced right back after a little drink.

Maximum Yield Indoor Garden Expo SF ‘09
With so much new and improved gardening supplies highlighted at the 2009 Indoor Garden Expo, in San Fransisco I decided to show off a few that stood out.
1. New General Hydroponics 3 Part AKA: Flora Series.
Well, not really. Since GH has not updated their flagship product, ever, Cutting Edge Solutions did it. Lots of you use GH Flora 3 part (Micro,Gro, Bloom) and do not want to experiment with other products. Who can blame you? Using the CES 3 part just like you use Flora will give you healthier plants and larger yields. Guaranteed! Add in some of CES specialty supplements and you will simply be amazed with the results.
Plant Amp – is a pure Calcium chelate, chelated utilizing low molecular weight organic acids. This chelation process provides improved calcium transport into the plant body, meaning the calcium is easily assimilated by plants and transferred into cell growth. 3. The Beast 666
No the devil will not help you in your garden, but this is just not marketing hype either. After making a comment at the BioFloral booth about the NPK of The Beast a conversation started with a young man from Montreal, CA. He explained that it was the make up of this Plant Treatment and how it is used is what makes this stand out. He said you do not use this with other fertilizers or additives. Using this alone after a good flush early in flowering will slow vertical growth as well as grow dense hard flowers that will withstand abuse. Flush again after then resume your normal feed schedule. Using it later in flowering will harden up your flowers but not retard the height. This is done with ingredients that are safe for human consumption.
He just happened to be the developer of this product and a really nice guy! In fact thanks to everyone at the BioFloral Booth for showing me a good time!
This seems like an perfect replacement for Dutch Master’s, Phosphload which is sadly no longer available.

Hydroponic Yellow Strawberries

It didnt take long before fruit started to grow
These Yellow Strawberry plants were started from seeds in May 2009, largely ignored until July when they where moved into COCO GRO bags and put on a 2 X 4 Flood Table. Given a variety of light including natural, Northern exposure, 1000W Dual Arc HID, and recently 4 X 4′ HOT5’s with a mix of spectrum bulbs.
The nutrient in the system has been Botanicare’s PureBlend Pro Grow, Liquid Karma, SilcaBlast, Cal-Mag and AquaShield.
After 3 short weeks they are starting to produce fruit and runners. Considerable growth has been observed.
A straggler was just placed under a 90W LED Tri-Mode 5 Band grow light, available at Advanced Garden, and seems to be doing nicely already.
